Give • Sponsor • Volunteer
Fund the bridge between crisis and community life.
Support can underwrite the unglamorous infrastructure that keeps people connected: the daily table, transportation plans, documents, workforce proof, safe food operations, peer leadership, and the follow-up that turns a referral into a real next step.
Development and community support
Concept visualization Ways to strengthen the build
Different resources solve different failure points.
General operating support
Keeps the site, staff, peer supervision, insurance, systems, and daily clubhouse rhythm functioning.
Sponsor a table or meal
Underwrites dignified food access, community dinners, member meals, youth/partner meals, or a defined series.
Barrier and scholarship support
Helps with IDs, transportation, uniforms, credentials, work tools, short-term stabilization, and other clearly governed barriers.
Workforce sponsorship
Supports training, credential fees, portfolios, employer engagement, retention coaching, and work-based learning.
Enterprise equipment
Funds kitchen, media, hospitality, inventory, safety, or production equipment tied to an approved operating plan.
Volunteer expertise
Brings governed, role-appropriate help in food service, tutoring, media, administration, facilities, events, fundraising, law, finance, or technology.
Volunteer standard
Bring your hands—and respect the house.
A strong volunteer role
- Has a named supervisor and defined task
- Matches the person's skill, training, clearance, and schedule
- Includes boundaries, confidentiality, safety, and incident expectations
- Produces a useful deliverable or clearly documented service
- Does not displace paid staff or exploit member labor
- Ends with closeout, feedback, and a next step
Not acceptable
- Dropping in unannounced to 'help'
- Taking member photos or stories without consent
- Acting as a counselor, case manager, security officer, or transporter without authority
- Using the program primarily for personal branding
- Bringing unsafe, expired, unusable, or off-mission donations
- Creating work for staff because the volunteer role was not planned
Stewardship sequence
Every gift and sponsorship should have a clean paper trail.
Clarify intent
Restricted or unrestricted purpose, expected recognition, timing, deliverables, privacy, and any sponsor benefits.
Review fit
Confirm the gift, event, benefit, product, or volunteer role aligns with mission, tax, ethics, safety, and public-trust standards.
Document
Record the commitment, amount or in-kind value, restrictions, approvals, acknowledgment, and responsible owner.
Use and track
Code spending, retain receipts, document service or impact, and protect restricted funds from drift.
Report back
Share accurate evidence, limits, lessons, and next needs without exploiting member stories or inventing outcomes.
What your support is really buying
Sequenced recovery infrastructure: belonging, peer leadership, practical access, workforce capacity, food dignity, economic mobility, data discipline, and the systems that keep help from disappearing when the founder is tired or the grant cycle ends.
