Accessibility statement
A welcoming table includes people who navigate differently.
The Open Table Cincy is committed to making its website usable by people with disabilities and to improving accessibility through clear structure, keyboard access, readable contrast, responsive design, captions, alternative text, and direct human assistance.
Ongoing accessibility commitment
Concept visualization Our commitment
We aim to provide a website that can be understood and operated across a range of devices, assistive technologies, reading levels, and access needs. Accessibility is treated as an operating responsibility rather than a one-time badge.
The theme is designed with semantic landmarks, a skip link, keyboard-accessible navigation, visible focus states, responsive layouts, descriptive form labels, alternative text, scalable typography, print support, and respect for reduced-motion preferences.
Built-in features
What the theme does now.
Navigate
Skip-to-content link, logical landmarks, mobile menu controls, current-page indicators, and keyboard-accessible links and buttons.
Read
High-contrast palette, generous spacing, controlled line length, responsive type, plain-language section summaries, and print styles.
Interact
Visible labels, required-field cues, form instructions, status messages, native details/summary components, and large touch targets.
Reduce motion
Animations and transitions are limited when a device requests reduced motion.
Understand images
Meaningful images include alternative text; decorative elements are hidden from assistive technology.
Get human help
Visitors may request information in another format or ask for assistance completing a website task.
Known limits and third-party content
Some third-party websites, maps, video players, documents, forms, or embedded tools linked from this site may not be controlled by The Open Table Cincy and may not meet the same accessibility standard.
Older PDFs, scanned records, or partner materials may require remediation or an accessible alternative. Contact the organization and identify the page, document, or task that is creating a barrier.
Accessibility response
What happens when a barrier is reported.
Receive
Record the page, browser/device, assistive technology if known, requested task, and preferred response method.
Acknowledge
Confirm receipt and provide an interim access route when possible.
Assess
Identify whether the barrier is theme code, content, a third-party tool, a document, or a workflow issue.
Correct or provide an alternative
Repair the issue, provide the information in another format, or complete the task through direct assistance.
Verify
Test the correction and document the result, owner, date, and any remaining limitation.
Accessibility contact
Use the Contact page and choose “Accessibility” as the inquiry type. Describe the page or task, the barrier, and the format or assistance that would help.
